Men’s tennis falls in Regional semi-finals

Playing in the NorCal regional semi-finals against top-seeded DeAnza College, the #5 seeded Falcons gave the Dons a bit of a scare on Tuesday afternoon in Cupertino.  DeAnza, after trailing in two of the doubles matches, somehow recovered to win all three with scores of 9-8, 8-6, and 8-6.  After the Dons won two of the singles matches – giving them the necessary five points for a dual team victory – the remaining matches were halted, three with Falcons leading.  The misleading 5-0 final score is not indicative of how close the Falcons were to pulling off a major upset.

With the team playoffs now in their rear-view mirror, the Falcons can focus their sights on next week's individual state championship tournament in Ojai.
