A "Friday Night Lights" matchup between rivals FLC and American River was won by the home team Falcons by the narrowest of margins. Freshman Kameron Kascht found the net in the 70th minute of play for the only goal of the match, giving the falcons a hard-fought 1-0 victory of the Beavers. The shutout was goalkeeper Arman Salimi's second in a row and fourth of the Big 8 season. The match was the final regular season home game for the Falcons, who will finish their Big 8 schedule with two road games over the final week. The Falcons, now 12-3-5 overall and 5-1-2 in the Big 8, will play at CRC on Tuesday and Santa Rosa on Friday, then enjoy a week to recover before starting the CCCAA state playoffs on November 23.
