Falcon men open season with 2-0 win

Playing on a sun-baked, rock-hard soccer pitch, the Falcons wasted little time getting 2019 started off right.  In just the 12th minute of play, sophomore midfielder Adam Ratto crossed the ball to freshman Kameron Kascht, who then found the net for the Falcons' first goal of 2019.  The score remained at 1-0 thanks to a first-half save by Falcon freshman goalkeeper Gerardo Perez as the two traded scoring chances.  The teams battled hard through the second half with neither able to punch through until the 89th minute, when Kascht stole the ball from Napa's center back and dribbled inside the box to score his second goal of the day.  The final 2-0 score does not reflect the closeness of the game as both teams had numerous chances to score that were denied.

The men will play their 2019 home opener on Tuesday, Sept. 3 against Lake Tahoe at 4:00 pm.
