Medina leads Falcons to eighth victory

The Falcons found their missing offense on Tuesday afternoon as they defeated Modesto 3-0 in a Big 8 Conference match at FLC.  After failing to score in their last match – a 0-0 draw at CRC - and a scoreless first half on Tuesday (although they had several chances), state scoring leader Miguel Medina took a pass from Adrian Jimenez and broke the ice with a one-on-one move in the 53rd minute for a 1-0 Falcon lead.   Twenty minutes later, Jimenez worked his magic again as he maneuvered near the goal, then passed to freshman Vinnie Sentges for another Falcon goal.  Finally, with time running down, the Falcons found the net once more when Sentges connected with Mouad Zehnouni for the final goal.

The win was the Falcons' eighth without a loss as they improved to 8-0-1 overall and 1-0-1 in Big 8 play.  They will travel to Stockton on Friday for perhaps their toughest test of the young season when they take on Delta College (5-0-3 overall, 1-0-1 in Big 8) at 4:00 pm.
