Falcons improve to 2-0 with win over Feather River

Led by three goals from sophomore Miguel Medina, the FLC men's soccer team notched their second victory in as many matches with a convincing 4-1 win over Feather River on Thursday afternoon in Quincy.  Medina put the Falcons ahead early with a goal in just the 2nd minute of play.  Just ten minutes later, freshman Tanner Boyea played a beautiful ball to fellow freshman Adam Ratto, who hit the mid-air volley into the goal for a 2-0 lead.  A Feather River foul in the box midway through the half gave the Falcons a Penalty Kick, and Medina made it 3-0.  The Golden Eagles responded with a PK goal of their own before halftime, but that would be all the scoring they would see.  Early in the second half, freshman midfielder Adrian Jiminez found Medina for yet another goal, his third of the match.  The 4-1 score would remain through the final 40 minutes as the Falcons improved their early season record to 2-0.

Next up, the Falcons will host Lassen College on Saturday night at 7:00 pm at Falcon Stadium.
