Falcons shut out local rival American River, 4-0

The Falcon men completed the doubleheader sweep with a shutout of crosstown rival American River on Friday night at Falcon Stadium as they regained first place in the Big 8 Conference.  First-half goals by Chase Gray and Pablo Herrera, and second-half goals by Santiago Peniche and Luis Aguilar fueled the victory.  The win, coupled with a Delta College loss to Santa Rosa, allowed the Falcons to reclaim their hold on first place at the halfway point in the Big 8 schedule.  The next four matches are crossover matches with Central Valley Conference teams before the Falcons return to Big 8 play on October 27.
