Falcons come up short at Santa Rosa

The Falcons went to Santa Rosa on Tuesday in first place in the Big 8, but came home in second place after losing to the Bear Cubs, 1-0.  The Falcons came out flat, perhaps overconfident, but quickly found out that the Bear Cubs were fast and physical, and apparently wanted it more.  Still, there were chances for the Falcons but none were converted.  Defender Omar Sosa was named "Man of the Match" for the Falcons, and coach Justin Johnson was quick to praise the efforts of Santiago Peniche and Pablo Herrera as well.  The Falcons now find themselves a single point behind Delta College in the Big 8 standings ( the two teams tied 1-1 last week).  They will host American River on Friday night at 6:30 pm in Falcon Stadium.
