Falcons, Mustangs remain atop Big 8 after 1-1 tie

The Falcons went head-to-head with Delta College on Tuesday afternoon at Falcon Stadium in a battle for first place in the Big 8.  FLC's Santiago Peniche netted an early lead for the Falcons with his goal in the 12^th minute, his 4^th of the season.  The Falcons had several near-misses throughout the first half, but were unable to capitalize.  Delta tied the match with a goal in the 26^th minute, and the two teams battled evenly the rest of the way.  They remained tied atop the Big 8 with identical 1-0-1 records, with Santa Rosa lurking right behind.   The men will host Cosumnes River on Friday evening at 6:30 pm.
