After Ohlone scored twice in the first 33 minutes of play, the Falcons found themselves down 2-0. However, they were not about to give up! Freshman midfielder Emilio Munoz cut the deficit in half with a Falcon goal just seconds before halftime, and the momentum seemed to carry over to the second half. The Falcons knotted the score 19 minutes later on freshman forward Jared Watson's goal. With momentum clearly on their side, freshman CJ Guerrero put the Falcons ahead for good three minutes later. The defense stifled Ohlone throughout the second half, shutting down the Renegades' attacks to preserve the victory. Sophomore Lee Barclay earned "Man of the Match" honors for his contributions energizing the offense. With the victory, the Falcons improved to 2-0-1. They'll play three more non-conference matches this week – all at Falcon Stadium – before opening Big 8 Conference play on September 27.
