Men's Soccer Cannot Find Net in 1-0 Loss

They dominated their opponent in every category but the one that counts the most.  The FLC men's soccer team suffered an excruciating 1-0 loss to Delta College on Thursday afternoon at UOP, though by all accounts it was their best game of the season.  The Mustangs scored an early goal on FLC keeper Patrick McDade, who admitted "…was in the wrong place on the field."  The game was played on a recreation field at UOP due to construction at Delta College and was evidently poorly marked.  The mismarked goal area (the 6-yard box directly in front of the goal)  was offset to one side of the goal, causing McDade to believe he was positioned in front of the goal, when in actuality, he was off to one side as the shot was taken.  Ultimately, that lone mistake came back to haunt the Falcons as they could not get anything past the Mustang goalie.  The Falcons dominated possession (75/25) and shots on goal (14-2), but could not find the net.  The loss drops FLC's record to 2-5-0 with one non-conference game to play before heading into Bay Valley Conference play on Friday at Mendocino.
