Falcons win 5th straight tournament
The Folsom Lake men's golf team recorded their fifth consecutive tournament win on Monday with another narrow two-stroke victory in Big 8 Tournament #7 at Yolo Fliers Golf Club in Woodland. Sophomore Noah Woehler proved to be Mr. Clutch with an eagle on #17 and a birdie on #18, giving him a round of 71 for "Low Medalist" and providing the margin of victory for the Falcons. The Falcons added two points to their lead in the Big 8 standings, which is now at 8 points. The win was particularly gratifying for coach Zarecky since one of his top golfers was unavailble due to a family wedding, but the falcons still had five players score in the 70's.
The Falcons now have eight days before their next tournament, which will be at Turlock Country Club on Wednesday, March 30.
