Big 8 Tournament #1: Napa, Folsom Lake grab top two spots

A week after a 30-stroke practice match win over Napa Valley, the Folsom Lake golfers lost to the Storm by 8 strokes in Wednesday's Big 8 Tournament #1 at Whitney Oaks Golf Club in Rocklin.  "In a nutshell, we absoluitely gave this one away," noted Falcons' head coach Barry Zarecky.  Sophomores Noah Woehler and Drew Greco were  the only Falcons to shoot under 80 with scores of 78  and 79, respectively.

While Zarecky wasn't pleased with the result, the tournament was just the first of 11 over the next two months that will decide the Big 8 title.  The Falcons will play a practice match at Chardonnay in Napa on Monday, then hope to right the ship at Big 8 #2 in Stockton on Tuesday.
