Falcons win 9th straight, this time by 19 strokes

The 2019 Big 8 champion Folsom Lake men's golf team won their ninth consecutive Big 8 tournament on Monday afternoon at Oakdale Country Club with a team score of 392, 19 strokes ahead of runner-up Sierra (411).  The Falcons were led by Brandon Kelly's 76, while Max Menconi and surging Drew Greco carded 77's. 

With the Big 8 title already in hand, the Falcons can focus on prepping for the NorCal tournament in two weeks.  Their goal of qualifying for the State Championships will hinge on their performance at the Regional, to be held May 6 at Yolo Fliers Golf Club in Woodland.  A top four team finish there will send them on to the state tournament.
