Falcons win 5th straight tournament, this time by 20 strokes

The Folsom Lake men's golf team is on such a dominant roll, the rest of the Big 8 Conference teams are now playing for second place.  On Monday, the Falcons won their fifth consecutive Big 8 tournament – and 8th of the 9 played so far this season – with a 20 stroke cushion over runner-up Modesto at Windsor Golf Club near Santa Rosa.  Playing in rain throughout the day, the Falcons shot a team score of 373, their second lowest of the 2019 season while extending their Big 8 Conference lead to 36 points over second-place Sierra.  Sophomore Max Menconi shot 71 to win low-medalist honors, while Krishton Trimp continued his resurgence with a round of 74.
