Golfers win yet again; streak now at seven

The FLC men's golf team won their seventh consecutive Big 8 tournament on Wednesday afternoon, recording their lowest team score of the season with a 375 at Wildhorse Golf Club in Davis.  The Falcons were 10 strokes better than runner-up Sierra as they extended their lead in the Big standings to 22 points - the largest in FLC golf history – with six tournaments left to play.  The Falcons had five players shoot in the 70's – a first in 2018 – with Max Menconi leading the way with his 72.  Jacob Russell and Krishton Trimp also impressed with rounds of 74 and 75, respectively.

"We're starting to look like the team I was expecting us to be," noted coach Barry Zarecky.  After eight tournaments, the Falcons' record against all Big 8 opponents is now a gaudy 39-1 (they finished second to Sierra in the first tournament of the season) and 59-6-1 against all northern California community colleges.
