Falcon Golfers take second, increase overall lead in Big 8 standings

With a second-place team finish in Big 8 Tournament #10 at Ancil Hoffman Golf Course on Monday afternoon, the FLC golf team increased their overall lead in the Big 8 standings over second place Sierra to 10 points.  The Falcons shot a team score of 388, four shots behind team champion Santa Rosa, but four ahead of Sierra, the Falcons' closest challenger in the Big 8 standings.  Sophomore Mason Troike continued his outstanding season with a round of 73 as he attempts to become the Big 8 Conference MVP for the second year in a row.  Sophomore Chad VanderDussen was right in the mix with his 74, while Connor Scott pulled off an improbable comeback with his round of 43/36 for 79.

The Falcons have just three Big 8 tournaments remaining and are in a position to win their fourth Big 8 Conference championship in five years.
