Falcon golfers set new FLC scoring record in win
It just keeps getting better. On Wednesday at Windsor Golf Club in Santa Rosa, the Falcons set a new FLC team-score record of 364 as they won Big 8 Tournament #12 by 16 strokes. Freshman Eric Olsem shot a four-under-par 68, tying the school record for low individual score set by Joel Slak in 2013 and recently tied by current team member Mason Troike. The Falcons had three players under par as Chris McKnight and Nick Fowler both shot one-under 71's. Fowler's round went 39/32….that's four under par for the back nine! With three tournaments remaining in Big 8 Conference play, the Falcons are now eight points ahead of Santa Rosa. "We are very close to clinching the Big 8 title," noted coach Barry Zarecky. "…and we've gotten here with five freshmen. I couldn't be more proud of this team!"
