Troike ties FLC scoring record as Falcon golfers win yet again
Freshman Mason Troike tied the FLC scoring record on Wednesday with his 4-under-par round of 68 at Ancil Hoffman as he led FLC to victory in Big 8 Tournament #11. The Falcons shot a team score of 376, finishing six strokes ahead of runner-up Santa Rosa and thereby extending their first-place lead to four points. 'Comeback Player of the Millennium' Nick Fowler carded an outstanding 74 to help the Falcons win the tournament. With five tournaments remaining, the Falcons are in a tight battle with Santa Rosa for the Big 8 title. The team will play Tournament #12 (also counts as Major #4) on Monday at San Juan Oaks in Hollister, and then at Windsor Golf Club in Santa Rosa on Wednesday.
