Falcon Golfers Are Back in First Place After “Ugly Win”

A win is a win, even when it's ugly.  According to FLC golf coach Barry Zarecky, Wednesday's Big 8 tournament #4 victory at Whitney Oaks Golf Club was just that: UGLY.  On a day when the tournament low score was a six-over-par 77, the Falcons won the team competition with just two players scoring in the 70's.  The Falcons edged Big 8 leader Santa Rosa by two strokes, thus moving into a tie for first place in the Big 8 North Division with the BearCubs.  " We definitely escaped with one today," noted Zarecky.  "We were lucky everyone played as poorly as they did.  The golf course won today."  

The Falcons' next match is Big 8 North Tournament #5 at Ancil Hoffman Golf Course in Carmichael next Wednesday, March 2.
