Men's Golf Tie Rival Santa Rosa in Practice Match

Playing a practice match at Windsor Golf Club in Santa Rosa on Tuesday, the FLC men's golf team finished in a tie with their chief Big 8 rival, Santa Rosa.  Both teams shot a team score 374, though the Falcons did so with their top two players scoring 80 and 79, respectively.  The match was an opportunity for the Falcons to play on the course where they'll conclude the Big 8 schedule on April 21.  "I hate to see us giving away strokes like we did today," noted FLC coach Barry Zarecky.  "The good thing is that it was just a practice match."

Freshman Patrick Kelly led the Falcons with a round of 73.  The Falcons will host Big 8 Tournament #4 on Feb. 26 at their home course, Rancho Murieta Country Club at 11:30 am.
