Men's Golf Takes Second

With a chance to take over first place in the Big 8 Conference, the FLC men's golf team squandered a perfect opportunity when four of the team's top five players double-bogeyed the final hole in yesterday's Big 8 Tournament #3 at Stockton Country Club.  The meltdown turned a 5-stroke lead into a 3-stroke deficit, handing the victory to Santa Rosa.  The Falcons finished with a team score of 377, second only to Santa Rosa's 374.  "We were right where we wanted to be," said coach Barry Zarecky, "but good teams must finish!"  Santa Rosa now leads the Falcons by three points in the conference standings.
