Men's Golf Wins Practice Match

The FLC men's golf team opened their season last Thursday with a practice match against Delta, Modesto, and American River Colleges at Van Buskirk Golf Club in Stockton.  The Falcons shot a team score 380 to win the match by nine strokes over Delta.  The Falcons were led by sophomore Nick Yell, who shot a 73 to win low medalist.  Freshmen Matt Shirley and Patrick Kelly served notice that they will be tough competitors with their rounds of 75.

The Falcons play their first Big 8 Conference tournament at Stanford today, then will host a practice match on Thursday at Rancho Murieta against Delta and Modesto.
