With an encouraging first half of play, the FLC men's basketball team had high hopes of getting their first Big 8 Conference win of 2020 on Tuesday night at Diablo Valley College.  Instead, the Vikings found their shooting touch from three-point range (while the Falcons struggled offensively) and pulled away to defeat the Falcons, 81-60.  The Falcons have been victimized by injuries, with six different players having missed a total of 47 games.  Tuesday night the Falcons were without point guard Jaylen Solich (his 6th missed game) and center/forward Gavyn Kamminga (6th missed game as well).  In their absence, freshman forward Pierce Rexford had his finest collegiate game, pouring in 26 points (on 10-of-16 shooting) while grabbing 8 rebounds.  Sophomore wing Jeremy Dexter added 9 points while freshman forward Tre Adams led the team with 12 rebounds.
