Deja vu for Falcons as Alameda wins

It was déjà vu for the Falcons on Saturday in Alameda as they raced out to a 36-25 halftime lead , only to see the Cougars erupt for 47 second half points and claim a narrow 72-68 victory.  The Falcon defense couldn't slow the freight train, including one Cougar that shot four of six three's and tallied 19 second half points.  The Falcons still had a chance, down three with 11 seconds to play, but a key rebound escaped and they were forced to foul, resulting in the final four-point differential.

Sophomore Grant Bellis led the team with a season-high 22 points – including 5 three's), freshman Pierce Rexford had 17, and sophomore Everett Campbell added 16.

The Falcons (1-7 in 2019) will play at the Columbia College tournament this weekend, facing West Hills Coalinga (0-7) on Saturday and Columbia (6-0) on Sunday.
