Falcons fall in 2019 season opener

The Falcons opened their 2019-20 season by hosting three other colleges for the inaugural Folsom Lake Falcon Classic Tournament on Friday and Saturday.  Friday's matchup had the Falcons taking on Copper Mountain College (from Twentynine Palms/Joshua Tree), another young program also in their third year of competition.  The lead changed hands several times throughout the first half with the visiting Fighting Cacti taking a 43-41 lead into the locker room at halftime.  In the second half, the Cacti gradually pulled away to a 89-78 win.  The Falcons finished with four players in double figures, led by freshman Pierce Rexford's 17 points.  Sophomores Gavyn Kamminga and Grant Bellis and freshman Jaylen Solich all netted 11 in the loss.
