Falcons avenge earlier 3-point loss to Sierra, win by 19!

A season of ups and downs appears to be ending on an upswing for the Folsom Lake men's basketball team.  The Falcons broke open a close game at Sierra College on Tuesday night with a 13-0 run to start the second half, then never looked back as they soundly defeated the Wolverines, 90-71.  The Falcons have prospered lately by sharing the ball and finding the open teammate, which they did to perfection on Tuesday night.  After trailing by one at halftime (45-44), the Falcons outscored Sierra 46-26 in the second half for their second win in a row.  Zethan Dumpson finished with 25 points and 16 rebounds, a monster night even by his standards.  Matt Lyon knocked down five 3-pointers for 23 points, Isiah Maun added 16 points and 9 rebounds, and Will Fitzpatrick had 12 points and 11 rebounds.

The Falcons are currently tied for 5th in the Big 8 Conference at 6-9 with Sacramento City and American River, and just one game behind Sierra (7-8).  A win in their season finale on Friday night over Santa Rosa would guarantee a finish of no worse than 5th, possibly 4th, in their second season of play.
