Falcons come up short at Santa Rosa

It's a long drive from Santa Rosa to Folsom, but even longer when you've just lost a basketball game.  The Santa Rosa Bear Cubs made sure the Falcons didn't enjoy the drive on Tuesday night with a 82-70 victory over Folsom Lake.  Despite a quick start by the Falcons that led to an early 12 point lead, the #14 ranked Bear Cubs responded with a 23-6 run to seize control of the game.  Down 43-32 at the half, the Falcons could never cut the lead to single digits, eventually losing by 12.  Point guard Matt Lyon led the Falcons with 18 points, while Will Fitzpatrick and Zethan Dumpson tallied 17 and 16, respectively.  

The Falcons will host American River on Friday night (Jan 25) at 7:30 pm to begin the second half of the Big 8 schedule.
