Six Falcons in double figures key win over Diablo valley

After a close first half, the FLC men's basketball team went on a torrid early second-half run to break open their Big 8 Conference game against Diablo Valley on Thursday night, then coasted home with a 80-69 victory at Falcon Gym.  The Falcons played a much better brand of basketball than in their previous home game - a 77-66 loss to Cosumnes River – by distributing the ball and playing as a team, as evidenced by six players scoring in double figures.  Sophomores Zethan Dumpson and Will Fitzpatrick led with 17 points and fellow sophomore Isiah Maun added 15.  The win was the Falcons' sixth of the season, three times what they won all of last year, and they are now 1-2 in Big 8 play.  They will host Delta College (10-5 overall, 2-1 in Big 8) on Tuesday night at 5:30 pm before going on the road to Sac City next Friday.
