Falcons bounce back after tough loss with come-from-behind win

One night after losing a home game they should have won, the FLC men's basketball team turned the tables and defeated a Contra Costa team that led by 8 points at halftime, 89-85 on Wednesday night in San Pablo.  The Comets took an early lead and maintained it throughout the first half by virtue of their 10 three-pointers.  After the break, the Falcons' defense clamped down on Contra Costa's shooters and the offense kicked in, scoring 51 second-half points.  Zethan Dumpson led the Falcons in scoring for the second night in a row with 31 points, followed by Grant Bellis with 17 and Will Fitzpatrick with 13.

The Falcons improved their early season record to 4-6, already double their total number of wins in all of last season.  They will host Las Positas (7-2) on Friday night at 5:00 pm in their final non-conference game before starting Big 8 play next Thursday.
