The FLC men were intent on scoring an upset at Sierra on Friday night as they took a two point lead into the locker room at halftime, 39-37. The second half was not kind to the Falcons, though, as free throws and rebounding proved to be their nemesis leading to the 84-69 loss. With the exception of Isiah Maun, the Falcons struggled with their shooting, managing 33% from the floor and a dismal 18% (2 of 11) from the line. Conversely, Maun was 10 for 21 (48%) from the field and 7 of 8 (88%) from the line, totaling 31 points. The Falcons (1-8, 2-16) will host Big 8 leader Santa Rosa (9-0, 16-4) on Tuesday at 5:30, then play at American River (2-7, 5-13) on Friday.
