Folsom Lake Falls Short Against Delta College in Series Finale

Stockton - The Folsom Lake College Falcons faced off against the San Joaquin Delta College Mustangs in the third and final game of their 3-game series on Sunday. After splitting the first two games, the series was decided in the Mustangs' favor with a 12-6 victory over the Falcons.

The Falcons got off to a strong start, taking an early 5-0 lead in the first three innings. Michael Ryan's sacrifice fly in the first inning put the Falcons on the board. In the second inning, Adam Reyes hit an RBI single, and Braeden Frank followed up with a two-RBI triple. The Falcons extended their lead in the third inning with a sacrifice fly from Brady White.

The Mustangs began their comeback in the fourth inning with a three-run outburst. Elias Rubio's two-RBI single cut the Falcons' lead to 5-3. San Joaquin Delta College continued their surge in the fifth inning, tying the game on a two-run home run, and then taking the lead on a solo homer.

The Mustangs continued to pour on the offense in the sixth inning, adding two more runs to their lead. The Falcons managed to score one run in the seventh inning on a Logan Pruski RBI single, but the Mustangs responded with a three-run home run in the eighth inning to seal the game at 12-6.

Despite a promising start and solid performances from several players, the Falcons couldn't keep up with the Mustangs' potent offense.
