Falcons Fall Short Against Mustangs in Series Opener

Stockton - In the first game of their three-game series, the Folsom Lake College Falcons faced off against the San Joaquin Delta College Mustangs in a tightly contested matchup. Despite an early lead, the Falcons couldn't maintain their advantage, ultimately succumbing to the Mustangs in a 3-1 loss.

Adam Reyes' sacrifice fly in the second inning gave the Falcons an early lead, but the Mustangs fought back, tying the game in the seventh inning before taking control in the eighth with key hits from Dominic Rodriguez and Blaine French.

Although Max Debiec put in a solid performance for the Falcons, both on the mound and at the plate, it wasn't enough to overcome the Mustangs' late surge. The loss drops the Falcons to fourth place in the Big 8 conference standings.

Looking ahead, Folsom Lake will seek redemption as they face the Mustangs once again in the second game of the series on Thursday, April 18th, in Folsom.
