Folsom Lake Battles Modesto Junior College in Thrilling Weekend Series

Folsom – The clash between the Folsom Lake College Falcons and the Modesto Junior College Pirates in their weekend series proved to be a rollercoaster of excitement and nail-biting moments. With game two hosted at Modesto Junior College and game three back at Folsom Lake College, both teams displayed their prowess on the diamond in a showdown that had fans on the edge of their seats.

 

Game 2 Recap

In game two, Folsom Lake College showcased their offensive prowess, tallying up 5 runs on 8 hits. Max Debiec's powerful swing resulted in a home run, while Braeden Frank and Michael Ryan contributed with key hits. Pitcher Ryan Oakes held the line for Folsom Lake, supported by a strong relief effort from Max Debiec, securing a hard-fought 5-4 victory.

However, Modesto Junior College didn't make it easy. Their offense put up a valiant effort, led by Logan Hart and Paul Contreras, who combined for 5 hits and 4 RBIs. Despite Modesto's resilience, Folsom Lake's pitching ultimately held firm, clinching the win in a tense battle.

 

Game 3 Recap

The intensity carried over into game three, with both teams refusing to back down. Modesto came out swinging, with early home runs from Logan Hart and Jacob Kowes setting the tone. But Folsom Lake responded fiercely, with Michael Ryan's three-run homer igniting their offense.

The game was a back-and-forth affair, with both teams trading blows inning after inning. Braeden Frank's impressive performance, including a homer and 5 runs scored, kept Folsom Lake in contention. However, Modesto's relentless lineup, led by Paul Contreras' mammoth five-RBI game, proved to be too much for the Falcons.

In the end, it was Modesto Junior College who emerged victorious in a thrilling 13-11 slugfest. Despite Folsom Lake's valiant efforts, Modesto's offensive onslaught in the final innings secured the win and the series.
