Falcons complete the sweep with walk-off win
Sunday was a completely different type of game as the Roadrunners took an early 3-0 lead and the Falcons were held hitless through the first five innings. After finally breaking through for a run in the 6th inning, the Falcons added two in the 8th on a Braedon Holliday home run and bases-loaded wild pitch to close the gap to 5-3. Down by two entering the final frame, the Falcons started the 9th with three straight singles to make it 5-4. After a sac bunt put runners on 2nd and 3rd, a Roadrunner error loaded the bases with one out. The Falcons then tied the game when Austin Caviness was hit by a pitch, forcing in a run. The Falcons walked off with the unlikely 6-5 win when Hunter Dunithon scored from third on a wild pitch.
The Falcons' only game this week will be on Tuesday evening, when they host Yuba College at 4:00 pm at Falcon Field.
