A return trip to Santa Rosa on Saturday – this time as the "home" team – did not produce the results the Falcons had hoped for. Locked in a 0-0 tie through five innings, the Bear Cubs lit up the scoreboard in the sixth inning on a walk, a double, three singles, and a three-run home run to suddenly make it 6-0. They added two unearned runs in the seventh for a commanding 8-0 lead, eventually downing the Falcons 8-1. The Falcons will enjoy a much-deserved bye week this week before resuming Big 8 play next week against Delta.
