Falcon catcher Alex Schroeder's 8th inning home run proved to be the difference as the Falcons ended their four game losing streak with an 8-7 victory in Modesto on Thursday afternoon. Trailing 7-3 in the fourth inning, the Falcons scored single runs in four consecutive innings to get the come-from-behind victory. Falcon closer Tyler Cochran, despite hitting the leadoff batter in the ninth inning, got the save without allowing a hit. Offensively, third baseman Anthony Mislinski had two hits - including a 2-run double in the first inning – and 3 RBI, Schroeder had two hits and scored three times, and shortstop Isaiah Lissade had a single, a double, and drove in a run.
The Falcons return to Modesto on Friday for the series finale - and a chance to take the series - beginning at 2:30 pm.
