Hawks complete 3-game sweep of Falcons

The Big 8-leading Cosumnes River Hawks completed a three-game sweep of the Folsom Lake Falcons on Monday afternoon at CRC's Conway Field with a 13-1 win.  The Falcons were hoping to take at least one from their district rival and prevent the Hawks from taking sole possession of first place, but four fielding miscues led to eight unearned runs and broke open what should have been a close game.  To make matters worse, the Falcon offense could not get the needed timely hit, leaving six runners in scoring position and a total of 10 runners left on base.  Falcon starter Trevor Johnson was victimized by fielding errors in the fifth inning, when the Hawks scored six unearned runs to break the game open.  Shortstop Isaiah Lissade had two of the Falcons' six hits and DH CJ Pallari had two more, including an RBI triple.

The Falcons will try to regroup as they play three games at Modesto (14-4, 2-1 Big 8) this week.
