Falcons win 8th game of season, 5-3 over Solano

On Wednesday afternoon, the Falcons found themselves traveling down I-80 to play at Solano College in Fairfield for a game that was just recently added to replace one of the rained-out contests. The Falcons scored in the first inning,  added two runs in both the 3^rd and 5^th innings for a 5-1 lead, then hung on to win, 5-3.  Catcher Alex Schroeder provided the big blast with his two-run homer in the 5^th, his fourth of the season.  Second baseman Zack Reyes had two hits and an RBI, and shortstop Isaiah Lissade had an  double in the 3^rd inning.  Coach Gregory used nine pitchers, who scattered seven hits and gave up just two earned runs.  The Falcons' non-conference record now stands at 8-4 with two more this week at Contra Costa before beginning Big 8 play next week against American River.
