Falcons win 8th game of season, 5-3 over Solano

On Wednesday afternoon, the Falcons found themselves traveling down I-80 to play at Solano College in Fairfield for a game that was just recently added to replace one of the rained-out contests. The Falcons scored in the first inning,  added two runs in both the 3rd and 5th innings for a 5-1 lead, then hung on to win, 5-3.  Catcher Alex Schroeder provided the big blast with his two-run homer in the 5th, his fourth of the season.  Second baseman Zack Reyes had two hits and an RBI, and shortstop Isaiah Lissade had an  double in the 3rd inning.  Coach Gregory used nine pitchers, who scattered seven hits and gave up just two earned runs.  The Falcons' non-conference record now stands at 8-4 with two more this week at Contra Costa before beginning Big 8 play next week against American River.
