Falcons get 20th victory of 2018

The Falcons made a quick road trip to Oroville/Chico for a non-conference game at Butte College on Monday afternoon and came home with a 12-7 victory, their third straight and sixth in their last seven games.  The trio of outfielder Mitchell Hebner, third baseman Anthony Mislinski, and designated hitter Andrew Williams all collected three hits apiece – each with a single, a double, and a homer – to pace the Falcon offense.  With four home runs – Jack Rotteveel also had a 2-run homer in the first - the Falcons take over as the top home run hitting team in the state with 32, one ahead of yesterday's opponent Butte.  Relief pitcher Myles Corrigan earned his first collegiate win with five innings of 2-run relief, spanning the third through seventh innings.  The win was the Falcons' 20th of the season as they improved to 20-8 overall.  They return to Big 8 scheduled play at last-place Modesto (3-12, 13-16 overall) on Tuesday afternoon.
