Falcons improve to 8-1 with 16-9 win over Feather River

Big innings were prevalent on Tuesday afternoon as the FLC baseball team scored four or more runs in three different innings in their 16-9 win over Feather River College at Falcon Field.  Centerfielder John Mook provided the biggest hit of all, a 5th inning bases-loaded double that cleared the bases and gave the Falcons an 8-6 lead that they would never relinquish.  Shortstop Josh Winkler (2 doubles, 3 hits) and rightfielder Aidan Malm (3 hits, 2 RBI) were the other offensive standouts for the Falcons on the rare day that the pitching staff was less than stellar.  The Falcons improved to 8-1, their best early season mark in school history.  They'll try to improve on that this weekend when they play two games at Mission College in Santa Clara.
