Another pitching gem as Falcons sweep Rams

In the series finale on Saturday afternoon, five Falcon pitchers combined to shut down the Rams yet again as the home team won a shortened (7-inning) game, 3-1.  Friday night's offensive hero, Josh Winkler, earned the save – his second of the season - with a perfect 7th inning on the mound.  Hot hitting leftfielder Michael Farley had an RBI double in the third inning, then scored the Falcons' second run on Aidan Malm's single.  Through eight games, Farley is hitting .400 with 4 home runs, 6 doubles, and 13 RBI and has a crazy 1.592 OPS (on-base plus slugging %).   With the win, the Falcons improved to 7-1.  They will host Feather River on Tuesday afternoon at Falcon Field at 2:30, then travel to Mission College in Santa Clara for two games this weekend.
