The Falcons kept their season-opening winning streak alive as they defeated College of Marin by a touchdown, 17-10, on Friday afternoon at Falcon Field. The Falcons actually trailed after four innings, 6-5, but managed to put up crooked numbers in the fifth and sixth innings to take a commanding 16-6 lead. The Falcons rattled out 15 hits, including three each for catcher Jack Rotteveel and freshman shortstop Anthony Mislinski. Designated hitter Lee Brewer had a booming triple to center in the fifth, then crushed a 415 foot home run to left to lead off the seventh. Sophomore Austin Beard pitched two perfect innings in relief to earn the win. The Falcons (4-0) will travel to Fresno to take on the Rams (4-2) at 6:00 pm on Tuesday night, then host Gavilan College for a weekend series on Friday and Saturday.
