Solorio-Smith Commits to Sonoma State

Humble, Driven and Tenacious are some of the words that come to mind when watching Mia Solorio-Smith compete! Congratulations to Solorio-Smith who has officially committed to 2022 CCAA Champion Sonoma State University (NCAA DII). Sonoma has advanced to the NCAA Tournament 8 times in the last 10 years and has been a powerhouse at the DII level!

Mia is a "blueprint" midfielder who covers ground, cuts passing lanes, fights for loose balls and loves laying tackles in the open field! At Folsom Lake she evolved into a saucy playmaker; linking and switching the point of attack for the Falcons.

Mia came to Folsom Lake from St. Francis High School and San Juan ECNL. She will continue to study Kinesiology at Sonoma State and she has held a cumulative GPA of 3.5 while balance both school and soccer here at Folsom Lake.

Here's what Mia had to say regarding her announcement:

"I am beyond excited to announce that I have committed to Sonoma State University!! This has been a long awaited dream of mine to continue my athletic and academic career at a 4 year university. I would like to thank my coaches, teammates, and supporters throughout the years. However, a special thank you to my Falcon Family. I wouldn't be the person or player that I am today without FLC Women's Soccer and I couldn't be more thankful for the experiences that I will forever cherish. I am more than ready for this next chapter and to continue repping blue.

LETS DO THIS NOMA!!
